An Intervention, the ‘Kylie’ Doco, David Pocock & ‘Waitress the Musical’
We have linkage galore to all of the everything we mentioned on the pod.
Em & Michael are back together in the studio for an In Conversation with Rob Mills & Mackenzie Dunn from ‘Waitress the Musical’, but first they need to catch up because Em needs to do an intervention on Michael & his current fitness campaign which is ruining his sleep.
They’ve both seen the full Netflix docu-series ‘Kylie’ & are keen to highlight their favourite moments of Kylie Minogue’s amazing confessional.
Em & Michael are also keen for independent senator for the ACT & all round buff rock carrier David Pocock to come on the podcast AND after seeing his interview on a recent episode of Insiders they would like to officially endorse him to become Australia’s Prime Minister too.
Then we usher in Rob Mills & Mackenzie Dunn, two of the stars of the Aussie version of ‘Waitress the Musical’, which is currently showing in Melbourne at Her Majesty’s & coming to the Sydney Lyric in August.
Inside we hear all about the ‘Waitress’ musical & its cast, how Rob manifests the roles he wants, Patti LuPone being a pony, doing Southern accents, plus Mackenzie reveals details of the musical she created based on a closeted AFL player. Em also found an old Millsy song from his debut album that she thinks deserves to be released again & Rob dropped in a plug in for his partner Georgie Tunny’s new book ‘Over To You’.
Michael & His Hubby Adrian Answer Your Questions
This week Michael Lucas is joined by his husband Adrian, they’re back in our studio together for a very special Sealed Section where they tackle a selection of questions from our Extra subscribers.
Inside they’ll reveal if they’d ever work on a project that they created from start to finish together, if they write their characters with a specific actor in mind, or do they wait till the casting process. Adrian gives us some insight into how his life has changed since the early critical success of his debut feature film ‘Leviticus’ which is in cinemas June 18.
We also find out if making documentaries is in either of their futures, what are their favourite adventures they’ve shared together, & even the top 3 books each of them recommend. So prepare yourself for some fabulous behind the scenes stories, a bunch of creative inspiration & more within.
